[For the context of this Statement, see the Notes below.]
I wish to state that I have only done what I regard as my honourable duty. My published writings are full of references to honour and duty, as I myself have for many years striven to live by a Code of Honour.
For over thirty years I have propagated the noble principles
and honourable ideals I uphold and believe in, and whatever may
be said, written or produced in evidence against me my own
conscience is clear. I have no regrets whatsoever about anything
I have said, written or done.
I believe in and accept that the freedom of every individual involves their right to freely give their allegiance. I believe and accept that the basis of true law and true justice is this free giving of allegiance together with the noble principle of personal honour, and that honour is thus the basis of what is fair and just. Hence, I regard any other type of so-called "law" and any and every type of so-called "justice" as dishonourable and a denial of freedom.
In view of these things, I am in rebellion against the Crown, the Government which derives its authority from the Crown, and any and every official appointed by the crown or who exercises their "authority" on behalf of the Crown.
The basis for my judgement on such matters as are mentioned herein is the document Freedom, Liberty and the Right of Rebellion.
David Myatt
The above Statement is issued in response to criminal proceedings which began with my arrest in February 1998 following a raid by Police on what was at the time my place of residence in England. This raid was by SO12 - a Special Operations unit of London's Scotland Yard. Following a seven-hour search of this residence, SO12 took away two computers and many items of literature.
The raid was part of an extensive, costly and long-running
enquiry by SO12 and MI5, the British secret Intelligence agency,
into the activities of the revolutionary group Combat 18. At the
time of this raid I was the leader of what was widely regarded as
the "political-wing" of Combat 18. This enquiry also
involves MI6 (the overseas branch of the British secret service),
Interpol and the FBI.
The following appeared in an article by Michael Whine entitled Cyberspace: A New Medium for Communication, Command and Control by Extremists. It was recently posted on an Israeli web-site dedicated to so-called "counter-terrorist" surveillance: "International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism". Michael Whine is the Director of the Board of Deputies of British Jews Defence and Group Relations Division.
" The Far Right has also used the Internet to post bomb-making manuals which are not otherwise available in Europe. The British neo-Nazi, David Myatt, of the National Socialist Movement posted his 'Practical Guide to Aryan Revolution' at the end of November 1997 at the website of Canadian Bernard Klatt in order to evade police scrutiny. The chapter headings included: Methods of Covert Direct Action, Escape and Evasion, Assassination, Terror Bombing, Sabotage, Racial War, How to Create a Revolutionary Situation, Direct Action Groups, etc. The contents provided a detailed step-by-step guide for terrorist insurrection with advice on assassination targets, rationale for bombing and sabotage campaigns, and rules of engagement.
Although he may have committed no indictable offence in Canada, Klatt was forced to close down his site in April 1998. Myatt is currently the subject of a British criminal investigation for incitement to murder and to promote race hatred."
A more recent article, also posted on the same so-called "counter-terrorism" site, and widely circulated elsewhere, was written in April 2000 CE by David Michaels of the Jewish Community Security Trust, London:
"The Charlemagne Hammer Skins (CHS), a French associate of the C18 splinter group National-Socialist Movement (NSM), published A Practical Guide to Aryan Revolution under the name Aryan Resistance Movement. This call to arms contained detailed instructions on subjects such as Methods of Covert Direct Action; Escape and Evasion; Assassination; Terror Bombing; Sabotage, Racial War, How To Create A Revolutionary Situation; and Rules of Engagement - Regulations Concerning the Conduct of Soldiers of the Aryan Liberation Army. Dave Myatt, a former leader of the NSM, has been arrested in connection with the publication of what is a detailed, practical terrorist handbook. The publication of the Practical Guide on the CHS website made it available to far more people than the small circle of activists in CHS and the NSM, while leaving the writer completely ignorant of who is influenced to act on his incitement."
What is interesting, and indeed relevant to my own case, is that the investigation and proceedings, at present at least, centre entirely on what I have written or am alleged to have written. The fact that mere writings - mere published literature - have led to a long-running, international Police investigation and criminal proceedings (and possible imprisonment for the author or someone believed to be the author) is very interesting, and says many things about the power of the Police and the State, individual freedom, and about how personal honour has been taken away by abstract laws.
